The Power Platform sits between spreadsheets that have outgrown themselves and custom software the organisation does not need. Used well, it puts working applications in the business's hands within weeks. Used without governance, it produces an estate of unowned apps, untracked data and licensing surprises. Our practice covers both sides: building the solutions, and building the platform discipline underneath them.

Applications are built as managed solutions with application lifecycle management from the start, so they move through environments cleanly and survive platform updates.

Power Automate

Cloud flows for approvals, document handling and system-to-system automation, with error handling, retry logic and monitoring built in. Automation that runs a business process is production software, and the practice treats it that way: owned, versioned and observable, not a flow someone built and left behind.

ANALYTICS

Power BI

Semantic models, report design and workspace governance over Dataverse, Dynamics 365 and warehouse data. The practice builds the model layer properly: measures defined once, refresh and security by design, so reports agree with each other and with the general ledger. Row-level security is configured against real organisational roles.

AI

Copilot Studio

Agents built in Copilot Studio for service desks, HR and operations teams, grounded in the organisation's own knowledge sources and connected to Dataverse and line-of-business systems through custom connectors. Where requirements exceed Copilot Studio, our AI practice builds custom agents on the same data foundations.

GOVERNANCE

Environment strategy and governance

Environment architecture, data loss prevention policies, connector governance and a centre of excellence that lets citizen developers build without creating risk IT has to answer for later. This is the work that decides whether the platform scales: the first app is easy, and the fortieth is why environment strategy exists.

Small releases, real users

Power Platform work is delivered in short cycles with business users in the loop from the first week. A working first release typically lands within four to six weeks, then grows against feedback rather than a speculative specification.

ALM from the first app

Solutions move through development, test and production environments under source control and automated deployment. This is unusual care for Power Platform work and it is the reason the estate stays supportable as it grows.

Handover by design

Documentation, admin training and a defined support arrangement come with every build. Where clients want internal makers to carry the platform forward, the practice sets up the centre of excellence and coaches the first cohort.

When is Power Platform the right choice over custom software?
Power Platform fits structured business processes with moderate volumes: approvals, inspections, registers, case handling. Custom software fits products, high-volume systems, and experiences where design detail matters commercially. The licensing model also matters: per-user costs that look small at ten users read differently at a thousand. We advise on the boundary honestly, and we build custom software too, so the recommendation is not shaped by what we can sell.
How do we stop the platform becoming app sprawl?
With environment strategy, data loss prevention policies and ownership rules set before the app count grows. Sprawl is rarely a tooling problem; it is the absence of decisions about who can build what, where data can flow, and who owns an app when its maker leaves. A centre of excellence, even a small one, keeps the answers current.
How fast can a first app be in production?
For a well-scoped process, four to six weeks to a governed production release is typical, including security, testing and training. Faster is possible and usually regretted: the difference between a demo and a production app is the part that takes the time.
How does Power Platform licensing work?
Licensing spans per-user plans, per-app plans, pay-as-you-go and capacity add-ons, and the economics change with scale and with what the apps connect to. Premium connectors and Dataverse capacity are where costs surprise organisations. We model licensing against the actual user base before build starts, so the running cost is known before the first release, not after it.
Can citizen developers and IT coexist on the platform?
Yes, and the platform works best that way: makers close to the process build, IT governs environments, data and connectors. The centre of excellence model gives both sides a clear lane, with graduation paths for apps that grow up, from a maker's environment into managed ALM when they start to matter.
What data can Power BI report over?
Dataverse and Dynamics 365 natively, and effectively any system with a connector or API: SQL, warehouses, SaaS platforms, files. The constraint is rarely connectivity; it is model design and data quality. Where the underlying data needs engineering, our AI, data and analytics practice builds the pipelines and the lakehouse under the reports.
