Microsoft Dynamics 365 consulting
Implementation, integration, migration and support across Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Customer Engagement and Business Central. Coder Trove has delivered Microsoft ERP and CRM programmes for Australian and international organisations since the Dynamics AX era.
The practice
Functional and technical, under one roof.
Our Microsoft practice covers the full Dynamics 365 programme lifecycle: solution design, configuration and development, data migration, integration, testing, cutover and post go-live support. It is staffed by functional consultants across finance, supply chain and customer engagement, technical consultants working in X++ and Dataverse, and solution architects who have carried programmes from requirements to production.
The practice delivers directly to clients and behind Microsoft consulting partners under white-label arrangements. Engagements range from a single embedded consultant inside a client programme to full implementation teams with fixed scope and price.
What we deliver
Six lines of work.
ERP
Finance and Operations
Implementation and extension of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for multi-entity organisations: general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procurement, inventory, manufacturing and project accounting. Technical work is delivered as extensions rather than overlayering, with build and release pipelines around every environment.
Most F&O programmes are decided in data migration, months before UAT. Migration rehearsal starts early in our programmes, and every cutover run is measured against the last.
CRM
Customer Engagement
Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights, implemented standalone or alongside Finance and Operations. Configuration is preferred over code; where development is needed, it is built as Dataverse solutions that survive vendor updates.
CE programmes include data model design, migration from legacy CRM systems, and the security and governance work that determines whether adoption holds after go-live.
ERP · MID-MARKET
Business Central
Business Central implementation and support for mid-sized organisations: finance, inventory, projects and reporting, with migration from NAV, GP and legacy accounting systems. Business Central suits organisations that need enterprise discipline without Finance and Operations scale, and the choice between the two is a decision we help clients make on process complexity rather than headcount.
PLATFORM
Integration and reporting
Dynamics 365 earns its keep when it is connected: dual-write between Finance and Operations and Customer Engagement, integration with payroll, banking, ecommerce and warehouse systems through Azure Integration Services, and event-driven patterns where volumes demand them. Integrations are built as versioned, monitored components rather than point-to-point scripts.
Reporting spans financial reporting inside D365 and Power BI models over Dataverse and the lakehouse, built with our Power Platform practice.
AI
Copilot and AI in Dynamics 365
Copilot enablement across F&O and CE, configured against real security roles so users see only what they should. Where standard Copilot ends, our AI practice builds agents and automation grounded in Dataverse: document processing, case summarisation and forecasting that runs on the organisation's own data.
The starting point is always data quality. AI on top of an untidy Dataverse produces confident answers to the wrong question.
MIGRATION
AX 2012 to Dynamics 365
For estates still on Dynamics AX 2012, now past end of support, the practice runs the migration path in full: codebase assessment, code upgrade, customisations rebuilt as extensions, data upgrade, and rehearsed cutover under DevOps pipelines. Delivered for multinational organisations, directly and behind consulting partners.
The approach is documented in our practical migration guide.
Delivery
How programmes run.
Environments and pipelines
Every programme runs on a defined environment strategy with automated build and release pipelines. Code moves through development, test and production the same way every time, so a cutover rehearsal in month three tells you something true about go-live in month nine. One Version updates are absorbed on a regression cadence rather than discovered in production.
Data migration as the critical path
Data migration is treated as the critical path from the first week, not a task for the final quarter. Extract, transform and load routines are built early, run repeatedly, and measured on error rates and runtime, so the final cutover is the best-rehearsed activity in the programme rather than the least.
After go-live
The practice supports live environments beyond hypercare: One Version update management, regression testing, environment administration, integration monitoring and an enhancement backlog run to agreed response times. Most support arrangements follow an implementation, and several have run for years.
Case study
AX 2012 to D365 Finance and Operations
A multinational life sciences estate moved from AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, delivered behind a consulting partner with X++ developers and an on-site functional lead.
